How the (high &) mighty have fallen… er, let’s hope that’s figuratively, not literally.
As I have previously only spoken of these height-elevating, teeter-tottering shoes as ‘hooker shoes’, it might surprise some of you to know that I recently purchased a pair of these beauties for my very own a few months ago.
Today is their inaugural voyage to work. I know they look great and feel great when I’m standing, but we’ll see how the walking goes. Because, as we all know (ladies), it’s the not looking like a fool when you’re walking in high heels that’s the real test.
Here’s to not falling down or scuffing my faux alligator skin PLATFORM pumps.

Just caught the cat licking my pack of Orbit spearmint gum.
On one hand, I’m really glad she’s so concerned about her dental hygiene. Not only is she using my plants as floss, she also clearly sees the benefit of chewing gum between meals.

However, I will have to throw that pack away as she is now licking her nether parts - reminding me that she’s still lacking in the social graces department.

I love hot summer days: finished ‘Elegance of the Hedgehog’ yesterday & almost done with ‘Fifth Avenue, 5 AM: Audrey Hepburn, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, and the Dawn of the Modern Woman’.
This could be classified as a virtual reading spree.
